Prenatal Sessions

No matter where you are in your pregnancy, or what support you’re looking for, I’d be honored to join your team in any way. I typically hold two, in-person or virtual, prenatal sessions around week 30 and 36 where we will first get to know each other on a more personal level (beyond our consult) and then discuss and create specific goals for your birth in a prayerful and intentional setting. These meetings will also include educational information about the labor process, hands-on coaching for you and your partner, and birth plan design.

Birth Support

As your birth doula, you can expect that my schedule will allow me be “on call” two weeks before your due date until baby is born in order to meet you wherever you are laboring within one to two hours of your call (depending on the stage of labor). My support role throughout labor will focus on continuous reassurance of safety, encouragement for you and your partner, guidance in communication and advocacy, comfort options and thoughtful prayer intercession . Once baby is earth side I will typically plan to stay a minimum of two hours, unless you are ready for some alone time as a family.

Postpartum Assistance

Within the first few days of baby being here, I plan to visit you and your family (if desired) to debrief your birth and fill in any gaps you may be missing from labor. I also love to help with anything around the house you may want some freedom from (cooking, dishes, laundry..) really anything you need to restore and bring peace to your home. As your doula, my role in postpartum is to advocate for mom’s optimal healing and help acclimate you and your family with your newest addition.

We genuinely believe that those who desire birth support in the form of a doula, should have access to this special partnership! With that being said, we never want finances to be a barrier for interested families, so we promise to get to know your unique situation and find a way to customize a plan that will provide you with adequate support.
