Hi there! I’m Kaley, the proud face behind Storehouse Birth. I’m currently training as a DONA certified Birth Doula, supporting NWA families in their journey to a beautiful birth experience and foundation of family. I believe my entrance into the birthing space is quite wonderful and unique. Although I have not had the privilege experience of giving birth myself, my path to becoming a birth worker began 14 and 11 years ago when I was honored to join my mother during the birth of my two younger brothers. I vividly remember both days distinctly; the calm and chaos that coexisted, and the insistence of my mother for each of us to be allowed to remain in the tiny room. It was quite transformative really, as a teenager, to witness the power of my mother be unbridled in a space full of people who were unwavering in their support for her.

Since then, I’ve spent several formative years walking through my own women’s health journey. And although parts of it have been seemingly undesirable, it has confidently influenced my outlook and approach on the inborn ways our bodies, souls and minds are intended to function. In it all, I’ve learned what true advocacy looks like and what it means to relate to others through psychological and biological kinship. I feel fortunate to have found self-assurance upon discovering and stepping into the remarkable role of a doula. Oh how I wish I had that light bulb moment caught on camera to look back on when I’m 50+ years into this thing. Through reading all the books, listening to all the podcasts, and studying all the evidence I could get my hands on, I feel certain that even before becoming a mother I can serve and support women, mothers, families and babies in a real and resourceful way.

Storehouse is a manifested dream- one that I still have to pinch myself to remember I have the privilege to live out. It’s a sure expression of my deep seeded passion and purpose to connect, care and campaign for a group of people that are so very special to me. Please know that you are special to me! That will always be the heart of Storehouse. In anything I do within this role, the purpose will originate from my longing to help you encounter all that God has for you in whatever season of womanhood you’re in.

xx Kaley

STOREHOUSE TESTIMONIALS

Lauren & Cody S. | First Time Parents

“I’ve described the role of a doula to curious friends and family members as a sort of “birth coach,” but Kaley was so much more than that for us. She was a teacher, a confidante, a prayer-warrior, a friend, someone to hold precious space for us during the most tender and beautiful season of our lives. She made us to feel prepared and empowered throughout our pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience- not simply in the pragmatic ways of education, pain management techniques, decision making around newborn protocols, etc. etc. No, her role as “doula” went well beyond equipping us with practical tools for the birth we envisioned. Kaley brought a sense of peace and calm to every part of our journey; she is wise, even-keeled, knows when to listen and when to speak, and quietly instilled confidence in us as we walked our chosen path to becoming parents. Her presence and partnership was and is a tremendous gift to our growing family.”

“We are so thankful for Kaley’s partnership through our birth experience. From meeting with her at 36 weeks before the birth where we were able to learn and ask questions to the big day where she helped us navigate the nurses and big decisions, having her on our team was invaluable. We really appreciated her willingness to get to know us ahead of time so that we were comfortable with her during birth. I would highly recommend Kaley to anyone considering hiring a doula for your birth. You won’t regret it!”
